To ensure the integrity of the implant, we recommend annual ultrasound scans after ten years.
The weight of a conventional breast implant in grams is about the same as its volume in millimetres. So a 300 millilitre implant weighs approximately 300 grams. If you need a particularly large implant, you can choose so-called B-Lite implants, which are 30 per cent lighter. We only use these implants for specific purposes. It is difficult to make a general statement about the cost of breast enhancement. The minimum age for breast surgery is 18. Ideally, you should wait until you are 20, when your body and breast growth are considered to be complete. In principle, breast augmentation at our clinic in Berlin is possible at any age from the age of legal majority.
Lipofilling uses very fine needles and minimal incisions, which usually heal completely. Breast implants are inserted through a 4-5 cm incision, usually in the inframammary crease. Thanks to precise surgical techniques, our specialists’ years of experience and careful aftercare, the scars are barely visible after the healing period.
Depending on whether the breast augmentation procedure is performed with autologous fat or with implants (and their position), the operation takes between one and two hours. As mentioned above, it is carried out either under general anaesthetic (implants) or under local anaesthesia or twilight sedation (lipofilling).
