Other Check-Ups

Cardiovascular Check-Up

Duration: approx. 3.5 h

A healthy heart is essential for an active and energetic life. Our comprehensive heart check-up provides a detailed analysis of your cardiovascular health and enables the early detection of potential risks. As part of this medical check-up, after a detailed medical history and physical examination, a vector ECG analysis (cardisiography) is performed at our institute in Berlin, which provides precise information on circulatory disorders, structural abnormalities or rhythm problems. In addition, echocardiography enables a detailed ultrasound examination of the heart to assess its pumping function and heart valves, as well as an ultrasound of the neck vessels to assess possible atherosclerosis. A stress ECG checks the heart's performance during physical exertion and provides information about possible rhythm disturbances or circulatory problems.

VNS analysis is used to assess autonomic heart control, while bioimpedance analysis (BIA) enables accurate determination of your body composition in terms of muscle, fat and water content. Optionally, a comprehensivelaboratory analysis can be performed to determine specific values such as inflammation markers or the lipid profile. This medical check-up, carried out by our specialists in Berlin, not only provides valuable insights into your current heart health, but also forms the basis for personalised recommendations on training, nutrition and preventive measures. Make your appointment now and invest in your long-term heart health.

Nutrient Check-Up

Duration: approx. 1.5 h

A balanced nutrient supply is essential for performance, well-being and long-term health. Our nutrient check-up provides a thorough analysis of your needs and offers personalised recommendations. Measuring your basal metabolic rate determines your calorie consumption at rest and reveals information about your metabolic status. In addition, bioimpedance analysis (BIA) provides a detailed evaluation of your body composition, including muscle, fat and water content.

Based on the results, we will create a personalised nutrition or diet plan specifically tailored to your needs. This special medical check-up at AIVA in Berlin gives you valuable insights into how to optimise your diet and helps you improve your long-term health and performance. Make an appointment now for a tailor-made nutrient analysis.

  • Detailed medical history & full body examination

The basis of every examination: We take the time to understand your symptoms, family risk factors and lifestyle, and combine this with a clinical examination.

  • Cardisiography (extended resting ECG)

Undiagnosed heart disease is one of the most common causes of death worldwide. Cardisiography (CSG) is an advanced, non-invasive method for reliably diagnosing or ruling out circulatory disorders, structural heart problems or cardiac arrhythmias. The vector cardiography developed by Cardisio meets the highest standards and offers greater sensitivity than a stress ECG. As part of your medical check-up with us in Berlin, you will receive a reliable result in ten minutes.

  • Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA)

Bioelectrical impedance analysis is a modern, fast and painless method for determining body composition. It provides precise data on body fat percentage, muscle mass, water balance and other important health metrics. BIA is ideal for monitoring progress during diets, sports or medical therapies – and offers valuable insights for targeted and individual health advice.

  • Laboratory tests

Laboratory values provide valuable information about your health – often before symptoms even appear. At AIVA, we rely on modern laboratory diagnostics to identify possible imbalances at an early stage and treat them in a targeted manner. Whether for preventive care, symptom clarification or progress monitoring: Our individually tailored laboratory analyses form the basis for sound and personalised health advice.

  • VNS analysis (Commit GmbH)

VNS analysis is used to measure and evaluate the vegetative nervous system (VNS) by analysing heart rate variability (HRV). Vital functions such as heartbeat, breathing and digestion are controlled by the VNS – the sympathetic nervous system, which is activated in stressful situations, and the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes relaxation. VNS analysis can be used to evaluate the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. This is done using special HRV parameters such as rhythmograms, scatter plots and others.

  • Neurocognitive test

Concentration, memory, mental performance – our cognitive health influences many areas of everyday life. We use modern neurocognitive tests to analyse your mental performance in a targeted manner. The tests are scientifically based, easy to perform and provide valuable information about possible abnormalities or changes.

  • Long-term blood pressure measurement

Blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day, so a single measurement is often not enough to provide an accurate picture. With long-term blood pressure measurement, we continuously record values during your daily activities and while you sleep. This allows us to reliably assess high blood pressure, nocturnal blood pressure changes or the success of therapy.

  • Long-term ECG

With the state-of-the-art device by SCHILLER, long-term ECGs can be evaluated automatically and with high precision. This enables us to screen you accurately for atrial fibrillation, analyse your breathing during sleep, analyse your heart rate variability and measure your blood pressure.

  • Spiroergometry (stress ECG with respiratory gas analysis)

The Quark RMR from COSMED is an innovative metabolic device for measuring energy consumption at rest and under stress. The measurement is carried out using indirect calorimetry (measurement of heat energy). Used with the VO2Max measuring device by COSMED, it is possible to measure maximum oxygen uptake (VO2Max) simultaneously. This can contribute to performance optimisation, particularly for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, and is an established longevity parameter. This diagnostic tool can also be used to calculate individual heart rate zones in order to determine ideal training ranges.

  • Ultrasound examinations

Our institute in Berlin has a powerful ultrasound system for examining the heart, neck vessels, aorta, abdomen and other areas of the body. The top-of-the-range SAMSUNG model enables practitioners to make a reliable diagnosis thanks to precise and intuitive visualisations and comprehensive analysis functions.

    FAQ

About the Medical Check-Up at AIVA in Berlin
  • How often should I have a medical check-up?

How often you should have a health check-up depends on your individual health, age and lifestyle. In order to detect and treat possible diseases and risk factors at an early stage, we generally recommend an annual medical check-up at our institute in Berlin.

  • When should I start having annual medical check-ups at AIVA in Berlin?

We recommend regular preventive medical check-ups, regardless of age, in order to detect possible risks of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and kidney disease in good time. The risk of chronic diseases increases with age. Therefore, in many cases, an annual medical check-up at our Berlin institute is advisable from the age of 40 onwards. For people aged 50 and over, we often recommend additional tests alongside our medical check-ups to identify age-related health risks. We therefore offer personalised check-up services that are tailored to your individual needs and risk factors.

  • How much does it cost?

At AIVA in Berlin, we tailor the medical check-up to your individual needs. Prices may vary depending on the type and scope of the check-up. You can book our basic check-up from €250. In addition, there are external laboratory costs, which can amount to around €1,000 for the premium check-up, for example.

  • How should I prepare for the medical check-up?

To prepare for the medical history interview, we recommend finding out about any previous illnesses in your family and making notes about your own medical history. Please refrain from consuming stimulating or stressful substances such as alcohol, nicotine or coffee on the day before your medical check-up. These substances can affect your blood pressure and heart rate. If a blood sample is taken during the check-up to determine your blood sugar, cholesterol and liver values, you should not eat anything and only drink water for at least 12 hours beforehand.

  • Can additional services be booked for all check-ups?

Yes, you can book additional services for any medical check-up at our Berlin institute for an extra charge. Please note that people aged 50 or 60 and over may require different examinations to those aged 35 or 40. We will be happy to recommend the most appropriate services for you. We also offer sports check-ups, which include a mobility analysis. If you are interested, please contact us – we will be happy to advise you on our extensive range of services.

  • How long does the medical check-up take?

The duration of a medical check-up at AIVA in Berlin varies depending on the type. The preventive check-up takes about four hours, while you should plan about 90 minutes for the nutrient check-up and around six hours for the longevity check-up. If you have booked additional services, the overall time may be extended accordingly. We will, of course, inform you in advance of the exact procedure and the expected duration.

  • When will I receive the results of the examinations?

We offer a follow-up consultation after every medical check-up. During this consultation, we will inform you of the results of the examinations and the laboratory values. The findings are usually available 14 days after the check-up. For our longevity check-up, it can take three to four weeks for all the results to be evaluated. During the follow-up consultation, we will inform you of your personal risk factors and give you valuable advice on how to promote and maintain your health.

  • What happens if abnormalities are found during my medical check-up?

If the doctors at AIVA in Berlin find any abnormalities during the medical check-up, we will discuss them with you in detail. Depending on the findings and their severity, we may initiate further diagnostic measures or refer you to a specialist. In some cases, it is advisable to arrange a follow-up appointment. This allows us to establish whether the abnormality is a one-off occurrence. Either way, you can rest assured that we will take the necessary steps to maintain your health or initiate treatment.
